What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a skin disease that often comes and goes.  It causes skin cells to multiply up to 10 times faster than normal, resulting in bumpy, red patches covered with white scales.  Stress, infection, and cold climate may be triggers.  Patches of psoriasis can occur anywhere on the body but most commonly appear on the elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back.

How to treat psoriasis?

Treatment for psoriasis will include topical solutions to stop the over production of skin cells.  Allantoin is an excellent ingredient to accomplish this.  Restoring barrier function, reducing inflammation, and keeping skin hydrated are also effective treatments.  Lavender Healing Ointment, containing Allantoin, along with Healing Lotion would make up an effective treatment program to relieve symptoms of psoriasis and also keep psoriasis from flaring up.  The addition of Energizing Toner and Facial Cleanser or Body Wash would be an even more effective treatment.
